Current Projects

We have projects involving:

  • Stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation
  • Treatment of pulmonary embolism
  • Prevention of venous thromboembolism following elective orthopaedic surgery

 

Future Projects

We will be undertaking studies in the following areas:

  • Prevention of venous thromboembolism in acutely ill medical patients
  • Treatment of thrombophlebitis
  • Treatment of pulmonary embolism using oral anticoagulants
  • Prevention of venous thromboembolism following elective orthopaedic hip and knee replacements
  • New treatments in diabetes
