Dr Alexander (Ander) Cohen, the lead consultant physician, who has sole responsibility for this group, has over fifteen years specialist knowledge in cardiovascular medicine, and an international renowned reputation in the area of venous thromboembolism.
Prior to setting up this unique research group over five years ago, he was the Clinical Director of the Thrombosis Research Unit at King’s College Hospital for ten years. The group currently runs up to ten clinical trials at a time, being conducted across three hospital sites.
